What is it for?
If you have a chimney that you are not using at all - otherwise known as redundant or dead - a Chimney Capper will save you a host of chimney problems in the future. By stopping virtually all rain entry, it will assist in prolonging the life of the chimney. By frustrating birds and squirrels who are looking for a new home, the chimney stays clean and sound with the nominal ventilation included in the design.
What sizes & options are available?
A square Chimney Capper will fit onto a square chimney pot with an internal measurement of 150mm to 250mm (6" to 10"). The Chimney Capper is made from aluminium and is available in natural (unpainted), or powder coated terracotta or black.
How do I fit one?
Once up on the roof, it is the work of a few minutes to attach the Chimney Capper using the stainless steel strap provided. Simply mold the legs to the profile of the pot, tighten up the strap and bend the legs back around to hold the Capper in place.
