Description: Bituminous solution containing oxidized bitumen and quick drying solvents.
Consumption: - 5L average 25sqm
- 20L average 100sqm
Fields of application: It is suitable for blocking the effects of dust and minimising concrete porosity, saturating cement decks in addition to preparing an excellent anchorage for liquid bituminous waterproof coverings or polymer-bitumen membranes (for both warm application by flame and cold application with bituminous glue).
Once dry, it forms a film with a strong anchorage on every type of substrate without any degree of superficial stickiness. It also has excellent penetrating, adherence and consolidation properties when applied to dry concrete surfaces.
Application: The concrete surfaces to be treated should be as dry as possible, clean and free from loose particles, oil, and dust when using Viabit. It is ready to use and does not need diluting. It can be applied by brush, broom or spray.
When applying warm bituminous membranes by flame the primer should be used only when concrete surfaces are perfectly dry; otherwise we suggest to use a bituminous primer suitable for wet surfaces.
The quantity to be used and the drying time depend on the porosity of the surface, the type of required finish and both surface and room temperature.
The film usually dries within 1 hour from application but drying time could vary, up to 2-4 hours, depending on primer thickness, hard temperature, and not very absorbent substructure.
The primer yield varies from 200 to 350 g/m2.
Tools to be cleaned using common synthetic or nitrous diluents.
